If there is one thing that irks me tremendously then it is the hypocrisy of liberals and every time a LWB like Hillary Clinton or Helen Zille opens their gobs it’s just reams and reams of hypocritical bullshit flowing from it.
Zille compares FeesMustFall to Apartheid. Calls it, “a threat to the future”
She reckons ‘FeesMustFall is no longer about fees but about power and control.
Damn right. It never was about Fees to Fall you stupid bat. It was always about getting rid of the ANC. Why should that worry you? Weren’t you the “official opposition” to the ANC?
Further, "A threat to the future" is just Commispeak for when the ANC loses power.
Remember that Helen Zille was in the “Black Sash” movement. She was one of the biggest Anti Apartheid activists. She marched together with blacks to get the ANC in power. In her book she admits that their family house in Cape Town was a hide-out place for ANC activists like Mcebisi Skwatsha, Nyami Booi, Cameron Dugmore and Tony Yengeni during the apartheid years.
Helen Zille LOVES the ANC. She spent her entire miserable life trying to oppose Apartheid and get the ANC in power…and then became its “opposition”.
Yet now that the #FeesMustFall movement opposes the ANC and actually do start to look like one of the East European “Colour Revolutions” during the 1990’s, they are “A threat to the future”…Helen Zille is worried that the ANC is going to fall. Go figure.
Could it be like I said a few days ago that the DA was never really the “opposition” of the ANC? They are not “opposites”; they are “opposames”. The DA was and always will be just a fake opposition to the ANC. They are there to keep the ANC in check. They deliver criticism and warnings when the ANC openly steals too much or become too openly corrupt, but in effect they are helping to keep the ANC in power. That was also the function of the “Public Protector”…to protect the ANC not the public. Nevertheless, Zille’s solution is “better trained police with better shields”.
What laughable junk. These Zuma goons already have the best riot gear in the world. Look at them. They look like Robocops. They appear threatening. Like they have come for a fight. Now that the students are taking the fight to them, you want to complain. So how must the shields look like then?
Personally I would like to see the students stop looting sports shops and throwing rocks at the police. They are starting to lose the plot. Such guys should be disciplined.
Srdja Popovic, the man who led the Serbian revolution against Milosovic in 1999 said in his book, “Blueprint for revolution”, the first rule of revolution is, “You don’t throw stones at the police”.
You actually just make your own cause weak by doing it. You need a big power and violence distance. They idea is to provoke a high amount of violence from the police whilst remaining yourself as peaceful as possible. You actually achieve your results a lot faster like that.
Srdja Popovic also said that your movement must be “Cool”…use music, humour and look cool. In Serbia for instance the activists all wore a “uniform” of black leather jackets and they used impromptu music festivals on the streets to unite the people and blare out the cops’ megaphones. The louder the cops spoke the louder the music went.
The overcame their fear of imprisonment, by overcoming their fear of the unknown through education. They recorded in detail everything that happened to you from when you got handcuffed (one cuff is always a lot tighter than the other) to the cells stinking of urine and vomit to the “good cop; bad cop” interrogations. They would take your belt and shoelaces so that your pants keep falling down and you walk like an idiot in order to humiliate you.
When activists were imprisoned they gathered at the police stations and demanded their release. The released ones were treated as heroes and got a special coloured T-shirt with the “Resistance” fist on it signaling how many times they were in prison already. The Black T-shirt (ten imprisonments) was the hottest fashion item in the country.
